Frequently Asked Questions
What experience do you offer?
I come with intention and care. From our first conversation to the final gallery, I prioritize clear communication, personalization, and trust.
On the day itself, I work with a refined documentary approach—moving intuitively, offering gentle direction when wanted, and letting genuine connection lead the way. The result is imagery that feels effortless, elegant, and true to you.
I'm here to be on your team, help with timelines, gather family for group photos, and read the room. More than anything, I want you to feel present, supported, and able to fully experience your day while I document it as it naturally unfolds.
My goal is simple: to create beautiful photographs and provide an experience that feels calm, personal, and enjoyable from beginning to end.
How would you describe your photography style?
My work is rooted in fine art and inspired by the coast — honest, romantic, and full of natural light. I love documenting the real, in-between moments and capturing how it felt. Documentary style but I’ll get those intentional editorials as well.
Where are you based, and do you travel or adventure for weddings?
Based on Salt Spring Island, BC, but my passport (and heart) is always ready. Love a good challenge and will boat, bush whack, paddle, or hike up a snowy mountain with you if that’s your vision.

I believe love is love! Everyone is welcome here for a safe space. I’m always open to learning more about what that means to you! <3
How far in advance should we book? What’s required to book?
I typically book 9–18 months in advance, especially for summer weekends. If your date is sooner, still reach out — you never know what might be open.
Email me, then I prefer a phone call or a FaceTime to say Hi and hear more about you. We’ll need a signed contract and a 25% retainer will secure your date. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your wedding.
We like to know every detail you’ve planned for your day. If we haven’t managed to get on a phone call 2 weeks before your wedding, expect an intake form. This tells me everything I need to know to have things run smoothly.
How many images do we receive and when should we expect our full gallery?
For a full day with two photographers you can expect around 800+ edited images. Your full collection of imagery will be delivered within 8–10 weeks. You’ll also receive a handful of sneak peek images within a day or two — perfect for sharing and reliving the magic when those post wedding blues start.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes! We love engagement sessions, we offer one as part of any wedding you book with us — they’re a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and capture you two in a more relaxed setting. Plus, it helps us get to know each other before the big day. Travel costs beyond Victoria, Nanaimo and Vancouver are not included in the price.
Can we print our photos?
Absolutely. All images we send you are high-resolution images with printing rights. I have a company I love to work with in Victoria for fine art printing so if you’d like help with that it’s no problem. Of corse we also love a photo album.
Second shooters?
Second shooters are required for 120 guest count and over. I bring in my second for most full-day weddings. We both attend to help capture both of your mornings, multiple angles during the ceremony, and every fleeting moment in between.
Do you photograph elopements or smaller celebrations?
Definitely. I adore intimate weddings and elopements — whether it’s just the two of you on a beach or a cozy backyard forest celebration with your closest people.
What happens if it rains?
I’m a West Coasters — we embrace the weather! Rain can make for some of the most beautiful, moody images. We’ll always have a backup plan and help you make the most of it. Attitude is everything.
Do you help with timelines or planning?
Yes! I’m more than happy to help build a photography timeline that fits naturally with your day. We also share tips and preferred vendors if you’re planning from out of town. How ever if you aren’t having a wedding planner or day of coordinator I can’t step into that role and still accomplish my job. Let me know how your doing with planning and we’ll go over recommendations.
